Tamila Salimdjanova
Tamila was born in Tashkent and began her studies at the Uspensky Music School with renowned Tamara Popovich at the age of 7. She made her concerto debut at the age of 9 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan conducted by Kuvanch Usmanov performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto KV 450. In 2007 Salimdjanova entered the Moscow Central Music School and continued her studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory both under the guidance of Professor Irina Plotnikova. In 2019 she graduated from the Royal College of Music under the tutelage of Dmitry Alexeev and Vanessa Latarche. Salimdjanova now studies in the Hochschule der Künst Bern with Tomasz Herbut.
Her recent awards include top prizes at the BNDES International Piano Competition, Birmingham International Piano Competition, Massarosa International Piano Competition, Lagny-sur-Marne International Piano Competition, Animato International Piano Competition and the Campillos International Piano Competition. She has performed with the Orquestra Experimental de Repertório, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica da Bahia, Philarmonic Orchestra of Morocco, Thames Chamber Orchestra in venues including Sala Sao Paulo and Theatre Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Castro Alves in Salvador and St Martin-in-the-Fields in London. She has appeared as a guest artist at the Radio France Festival in Montpellier which was broadcast live on Radio France. Recent appearances include the Festival Pianos-Folies du Touquet and Festival de Inverno Campos do Jordao.
