Jan Nikovich
Jan Nikovich, born in 2001, stands as a distinguished Croatian concert pianist, adorned with numerous accolades from prestigious competitions. Currently under the mentorship of acclaimed professors Ruben Dalibaltayan, Natalia Trull, and Eliso Virsaladze, he pursues his musical journey across multiple institutions. Jan boasts victories in national and international competitions, including the Papandopulo Piano Competition and the Young Virtuosos, Citta di Gorizia, EPTA, and Val Tidone competitions, among others. Notably, he clinched the Yamaha Scholarship Award 2019/2020 bestowed by the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe. Selected to the Junior Academy Eppan in 2015, he garnered the Audience Award at the final concert, sharing stages with luminaries like Lang Lang in Barcelona and at the Allianz Arena in Munich before massive audiences. A scholarship recipient at the Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein, Jan frequents concert halls across Europe, captivating audiences with his masterful performances in solo recitals and alongside eminent orchestras, including the Croatian National Television Orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic. Recognized for his academic prowess, he has been honored with multiple awards, including the esteemed Oscar of Knowledge from the Ministry of Science and Education and the Rector’s Award from the University of Zagreb in 2020.
