Shinyoung Lee

Shinyoung Lee, born in 1997, embarked on her musical journey at the age of seven, guided by her passion for the piano. Under the tutelage of Prof. Jaemi Kim at the Young Musicians Academy of Konkuk University and later at the Sunhwa Arts Middle School, she flourished, supported by scholarships from the city of Seoul and the Sunhwa Piano Society. Throughout her career, Lee has amassed numerous accolades, including the 2nd prize at the Madrid International Piano Competition, 1st Prizes in competitions like Jugend Musiziert in Germany and the International Piano Competition “Cittá di Treviso”, and special recognition for her interpretation of Estonian compositions at the Tallinn International Piano Competition. She has graced stages worldwide, from concerts broadcasted by NDR in Hamburg to her solo debut with the North German Philharmonic Orchestra of Rostock. Lee’s thirst for musical knowledge has led her to partake in masterclasses with esteemed pianists such as Prof. Arnulf von Arnim and Maria Joao Pires. Currently pursuing her postgraduate studies in the “Excellence in Performance” program at the Munich Academy for Music and Theatre under Prof. Antti Siirala, Lee continues to enrich her musical prowess, supported by scholarships from institutions like the Horst-Rahe Stiftung and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation.
