Xuehong Chen
At 24, Xuehong Chen stands as a shining example of musical excellence, recognized in the esteemed Top Talent Training Plan (“Best of Best”) of the Central Conservatory of Music. Under the guidance of distinguished mentors such as Professors Xinning Zhang, Danwen Wei, Piotr Paleczny, and Taihang Du, Chen’s musical journey has been marked by remarkable achievements. As the grand winner of China’s top three music events—the Golden Bell Award, WenHua Award, and CCTV Piano and Violin Competition—Chen’s talent has garnered widespread acclaim. Domestically, he has triumphed in nearly every significant piano competition, including the Xinghai Cup, Cadenza, and Kayserburg, among others. Internationally, his accolades include first prizes in prestigious competitions like the International Competition of Young Pianists “A Step Towards Mastery” in Russia, the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Ukraine, and the Astana International Competition for Young Pianists in Kazakhstan. Notably, Chen reached the second
round of the 18th Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. With over 18 performances with both domestic and international Philharmonic societies and orchestras, Chen has showcased his virtuosity on numerous stages worldwide. His extensive repertoire spans 120 solo concerts, including appearances in cultural exchange activities and benefit concerts. Chen’s talent has graced prestigious venues like the Vienna Golden Hall and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. He has also recorded and released three albums featuring his piano solo pieces.
